Integrated project delivery (IPD) blurs traditional boundaries between design, construction, and other project roles. IPD aims to create collaborative, integrated project teams that work together using building information modeling from the early design phase through construction and handover. IPD processes involve establishing BIM execution plans and process maps to guide model development and coordination between architects, engineers, contractors, and other specialists up to high levels of detail to enable prefabrication.
