•A system is any group of interrelated components or objects that are
connected together to for a unified whole. In Geography we refer to OPEN or
CLOSED SYSTEMS.
CLOSED SYSTEM:
•There is a transfer of energy, but not
matter, between the system and the
surroundings.
OPEN SYSTEMS
•Where systems receive inputs and
transfer outputs of energy and or
matter across boundaries between
them.
•Most natural systems are open ones.
