What is an Attitude?
 Is the way we react or respond to people, objects
and institutions on issues, facts or state.

 It is an outward expression (through body
gestures) of our state of mind.

 It is a mirror of the mind.

Attitude Component Consistency

                                 11-27
HOW ATTITUDE WORKS
 It is a cognitive and affective evaluation that
predisposes a person to to act in a certain way

      Affective

                                    BEHAVIOUR
ABC of Attitude
 Attitudes consist of cognitive, behavioral, and
  affective components.
 The cognitive component is made up of the
beliefs of an individual about the object of an
attitude, for example, the belief that all old people
  are senile.
 The behavioral component consists of a
predisposition to respond in a certain way to the
object of the attitude, for example, talking to an
old person as if talking to a child.
 The affective component refers to emotions
aroused by the object of the attitude, for example,
always feeling sorry for an older person.

This too shall pass
 Remember the phrase..this too shall pass is
applicable for the past, present and future.
Nothing will continue whether the good or the bad
times. The environment is dynamic and ever
 changing .
Avoid negative thoughts

 Avoid everything which
 triggers negative thoughts in
 you. It could be the
 newspaper or the electronic
 media who magnifies and are
 always looking for
 sensationalizing things
Take a step back
 Sometimes the cause of our depression or
frustration are due to very small things, we feel lost
or listless or irritated just because of the bad
weather, traffic jam or a flat tyre.
 We then take out this frustrations on important
elements of our life example your job, colleagues,
  customer, family etc.
Positive Attitude is a path to
Success.
“Your attitude, not your aptitude,
will determine your altitude.” Zig
Ziglar
 "Positive Attitude can not get you anything
But it can get you everything better than
 negative attitude can"
 - Zig Ziglar
Be in Control

There is very little in
this world that we
can control….other
than our thoughts.
