Here we can see that the vast majority of the people that completed the survey
were from the age of 10-21. Therefore, I have taken into account that there may
be more responses to questions that appeal to the younger generation, for
example, the types of genres that appeal to the younger generation are mainly
that of rap and R&B, and also the amount of music videos watched may be
higher. In addition to this, I have received results from a wide variety of ages,
whom have also given mixed responses.

As you can see here, there were a total of 23 responses, and the majority of
them from a younger generation. As a result of this, I have also taken into
account the amount of false responses, for example, I didn’t ask anyone beyond
the age of 70 to fill out the survey, suggesting that this is not an accurate and
genuine response, causing me to not take into account that particular
response.

that of R&B and rap, which may suggest why these genres were also high. Rock
and pop were also the most popular across all of the age ranges.

there favourite genre. I have had to cut down the results from 22 respondents, as some
people gave inappropriate and inaccurate responses, which were all based around the age
range of 10-21, and mostly linked to the general conventions seen in a rap and R&B
music video, this can be seen for example in question 6. furthermore, the respondents of
the rock genre are the most helpful, due to the variety of preferences.

The responses to this question
are also relatively mixed, with
most of the responses preferring
performance based videos or
both. However, it would seem
that the majority of 10-21 year
olds favoured a performance
based video, due to the
stereotypical conventions of rap
and R&B videos. In addition to
this, it is apparent that the
majority of people do not prefer
a purely narrative video.

videos are watched are

Although a number of

types of music played on
TV are generally that of a
dance, pop and R&B
genre, which is why only
people from the ages of
10-21 chose this option.
