Lauri Dickinson grew up in Folsom, California in the 1960s-70s when it was mostly fields and wildflowers. She was inspired by nature from a young age but did not pursue art seriously until her youngest daughter left home 10 years ago. She began experimenting with watercolors and pastels, focusing on flowers and landscapes, inspired by her love of nature. More recently, her yoga art focuses on figurative drawing using acrylic paints. As a self-taught artist, she continues to develop her style through workshops and study. She shares her art through various exhibits and is proud to have published a book of her yoga-inspired works titled "Life is Art, Paint your Dreams".
