Cinderella is mistreated by her step-mother and step-sisters, who make her do all the housework while they do nothing. Cinderella dreams of escaping her situation and being rescued by a prince. When the prince announces a ball to find a bride, Cinderella is saddened because she cannot attend, but her fairy godmother uses magic to transform Cinderella into a princess so she can go. At the ball, Cinderella dances with the prince but has to flee at midnight, losing her glass slipper. The prince searches for the girl whose foot fits the slipper and finds Cinderella, and they live happily ever after.
