Municipal Subsidies to Circular Economy
Objective
Advance in the process of transition towards a more circular economy in
the municipality of Valladolid by promoting the realization of circular
economy projects.

Municipal Subsidies to Circular Economy
Beneficiaries
• Private companies, associations of private
companies, non-profit entities or research centers.
• Fiscal domicile, social domicile or an activity center
in the municipality of Valladolid.
Eligible projects
1. Design, development and delivery of training
actions in Circular Economy.
2. Design and implementation of awareness actions
and dissemination of the Circular Economy.
3. Research studies and / or demonstration projects
of new products or services.
4. Implementation projects in the market for new
products or services.
Municipal Subsidy to Circular Economy
Key facts
• Subsidy per project: may not exceed € 25,000; nor more than 85% of the total
cost of the project.
• Subsidy based on the score obtained according to the evaluation criteria.
• Prepaid.
• Eligible expenses: directly related to the development of the project, including
personnel costs but it is necessary to create new jobs or improvement of labor
conditions.
• Subcontracting is permitted under the terms established in the Subsidies Law.
• Each entity may request several eligible projects, however, no more than 2
eligible projects will be awarded to the same entity.

CIRCULAR WEEKEND
Innovative national meeting for the Circular Economy whereby to
learn to launch circular ideas, circulate existing models and get in
touch with other agents.
 Presentations, workshops and advice in a weekend of
collaborative work.
 Post-event mentoring sessions for the best projects /
ideas.
 Ist edition at national level held in Valladolid.
 3 editions in Valladolid up to now
 More than 120 participants.
Aim: to integrate the Circular Economy into new business
models, enabling spaces for creativity, the generation of
ideas and adaptation to change
Objectives:
Facilitate entrepreneurs and start-up companies with
operational resources (physical spaces, networking, market-
place, etc.) specialized in circular economy businesses.
Provide capacity building in circular economy to achieve
the necessary skills and a favorable attitude towards new
professional opportunities and business ideas.
Promote the integration of the circular economy in the
entrepreneurial culture
Expected outcomes:
Network of Circular Labs (one of them in Valladolid)
