- 5. Bishop AucklandBishop Aucklandis a market town in County Durham in North East England. It is located about 12 miles northwest of Darlington and 12 miles southwest of Durham at the confluence of the River Wear with its tributary the River Gaunless. According to the 2001 census, Bishop Auckland has a population of 24,392.Much of the town's early history surrounds the Bishops of Durham and the establishment of a hunting lodge, which later became the main residence of the Bishop of Durham. This link with the Bishops of Durham is reflected in the first part of the town's name. The town has a town-twinning with the French town of Ivry-sur-Seine.

- 8. Personal, Social, Healthand Citizenship EducationClassroomsWe have eleven classrooms including a practical room and an ICT room.All children are entitled to a hot free school meal each day. The school has its own kitchen and kitchen staff to make their lunch. This is eaten together in our school hall.
- 9. DisplaysWe are veryproud of our school displays which help children to learn and show their work.
- 10. Extra CurricularMany extracurricular activities are carried out by the children in our school including lots of sports clubs, art clubs, drama groups and writing sessions. We also have revision groups after school, coming up to SATs(our important Year 6 tests).
- 11. CelebrationsLast year schoolcelebrated its Centenary Year which meant it had been open for 100 years. We all dressed in Edwardian clothes and buried a time capsule for people to open in the future.Once a year we also celebrate the Arts by having a whole school Arts week. Sporting achievement is celebrated regularly at festivals and tournaments we attend throughout the year.
- 12. CelebrationsGood behaviour andhard work are celebrated weekly in Merit Assembly. Children are awarded merits if they have tried their best all week. Merit certificates are presented to children for every five merits they achieve. Also one child from each class is chosen weekly; as Pupil of the Week. This child receives a trophy and certificate (they also get to take the mascot home for the weekend now).Well behaved children also have Golden Time at the end of each week where they get to take part in a fun activity.
