The band Coldplay formed in the mid-1990s at University College London. They originally called themselves Starfish but changed their name when another local band was also called Coldplay. The band is composed of Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland, Will Champion, and Chris Martin. Their 2000 album Parachutes, featuring the hit single "Yellow," launched them to international fame. They have since won numerous awards and released several successful albums.
