The document compares several path loss models for wireless communication in urban and suburban environments in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Drive tests were conducted in an urban area (GRA Phase II) and suburban area (Aggrey Road) to collect signal strength data. The data was used to compare the Okumura-Hata, COST 231, and ECC-33 path loss models. The Okumura-Hata model showed better performance in the urban environment while the COST 231 model performed better in the suburban environment. The ECC-33 model overestimated path loss in both environments.
