  This contents pageis quite plain and simple; however it works well because it looks more professional as it is not cluttered. The colour scheme stays the same throughout which again makes it look more professional. It says “contents” sideways, however because the brown colour stands out on the pale grey background you can see it clearly as soon as you look at the page. Also I think making the font large, bold and white was a good idea on the brown colour. The contents page of this magazine suggests there may be some kind of theme to this particular magazine. There are nature like colours and a picture of a leaf in the corner. The leaf suggests that it may be autumn at the time this magazine came out and these may be the colours they use all the time for the magazine. I like how blue is made the main colour on the contents page because it brightens it up from the grey and brown colours. Also this could again be about the theme of the magazines “autumn” theme as blue is seen as quite a cold colour. The layout is clear and not cluttered with lots of pictures. However people looking at the contents cover may think that this is a very boring contents page because of the dull colours and boring font. People probably won’t continue to read the magazine if it looks boring at the start. It would have perhaps been better if they had put some images in on what’s in the magazine because this way people can flick straight to what they want to read. Also having pictures of students that actually go to the college might intrigue them because they may know someone. Overall, I think that this contents page looks quite professional because it is consistent. However I do think it is too professional for a college magazine because students would want one that is less formal and one that is quite interesting.
