What does this cost?
ď‚› Trip fee is estimated at US$1,900
ď‚› Includes airfare; if airfare goes up before we buy tickets,
this will go up.
ď‚› Includes most breakfasts & dinners with lodging
ď‚› Does NOT include:
ď‚› Other meals, snacks, drinks
ď‚› Souvenirs
ď‚› Tuition, textbook (yes, this is a class!)
ď‚› Passport
ď‚› $28 departure tax
ď‚› NSU-required insurance of about $20
How do I prepare?
ď‚› First, let Dr. Terdal and Mr. Alyea know you are interested!
ď‚› Pay deposits
ď‚› Check to make sure you have a passport and that it is
current
ď‚› Check with U.S. State Department website on travel advisories
ď‚› See your physician about any health issues you may have,
make sure you are current on immunizations, etc.
ď‚› Check with CDC.gov on health advisories about Costa Rica
ď‚› Get/stay in shape:
ď‚› hike a few miles regularly on rough ground
ď‚› Ride a pedal bike
ď‚› swim when you can to increase endurance
ď‚› Stay in touch with Dr. Terdal and Mr. Alyea regularly
