Creating my track list

  Creating my tracklist for my digipak 1. Double Rainbow 2. Unwritten 3. Never Again 4. Catch My Breath 5. Ray of Light 6. Safe and Sound 7. Thunder 8. We Cry 9. I’m Yours 10. One Last Time 11. Almost is Never Enough 12. Right With You I have used my research in the next few pages to construct the names of the tracks that I will use to complete my album. I have also used my ideas at creating a few track names of my own which I thought would do well with the rest of the tracks. To research artists track and look at popular pop songs, I decided to use my iPad to look on iTunes to see the top charts and bestsellers. iTunes is very good at filtering searches and listening to previews of the song. I also found it easy to navigate and convenient for those with apple devices. I decided to look at artists which dominate the pop genre for different reasons as well as at looking at artists who I know create soulful songs with deep meaning to there lyrics that have inspirational track names.

  Influence Here is alist of top songs on iTunes at the moment (11/03/15). I decided to look at popular songs within the pop[ genre and see what track names are popular. By looking At existing tracks, I can come up with my own similar name tracks to use for my own product. By researching it will give an idea of the times of song names already out there and I will take influence of those names that stand out and would look good on my digipak.

  Looking at Artistssongs best sellers I decided to look at Kelly Clarkson's best selling singles as I wanted to choose song names that would be popular and make people want to listen to the music the track name belongs to. I like the two songs highlighted which I may use for my track list. I think that the name of the songs suggest that the lyrics are quite meaningful. I also looked at Madonna as she has recently released an album and I wanted to look at names of some of the tracks she has produced in her career. I chose these two artists because my album artist is also female and these two artists are strong dominant women in the music industry.

  Looking at Artistssongs best sellers Another two artists that I looked at where Taylor Swift and Maroon 5, both artists I practically like. I choose to look at these two because I have listened to their albums and music videos which they address relationship issues within their music. I picked out one of each top songs which I think would suit my music video.

  Looking at Artistssongs best sellers I decided to look at The Script and Ariana Grande because The Scrip, sing quite soulful songs like ‘Superhero’, ‘Hall of Fame’ and ‘For the First Time’. After listening to these songs they’re very meaningful lyrics like the song I have chosen. Therefore I looked at this band for similar names. I also looked at Ariana Grande because she has released an album which includes songs which have a deep meaning. Therefore I looked at her tracks for inspiration for my own tracks.
