Creative process – front cover
First Draft I created this initial sketch after looking at previous issues of NME and gaining ideas about the layout etc.
Second Draft (with feedback) Include freebies to attract a larger audience. For example, iTunes downloads would be popular. This is the original construction of the front cover, however I submitted the design to some people from my target audience, asking for feedback on how I can improve it. They raised several points for improvement: Fill white spaces with more previews of articles, so that the audience know what's coming and the front cover looks more realistic. Make the model's image bigger; this will emphasise her importance. Some text (e.g. "new album from the Kooks) is difficult to see, so make it larger and in a brighter colour that will stand out.
