I. Instrumentation and Control Engineer in QARUN Petroleum Company-APACHE CORP-JV,
Cairo Office
(From July 2012 – Current)
 Member in a team selected to work directly under the Operations General Manager, Responsible for:
 Defining the wildly important goals of Operations department.
 Providing technical support for maintenance department at all company fields.
 Coordinate with field members, Projects department and other departments to plan for
needed projects for upcoming budget.
 Supervise, coordinate and follow up execution of projects in the budget regarding their
deadlines.
 Issuing materials requests for the Fields’ needs, putting the suitable specifications and
providing the field with the required materials for various maintenances and projects.
 Building data base of field's equipments and systems suitable for proper planning for the whole
operation.
 Performing the needed designs for special projects such as Water Flood Systems, Pumping
Systems, Control Systems upgrades, and Fire Systems.
 Main interface with vendors and contractors for technical and contractual issues.
 Preparation and evaluation of the technical scopes in tenders.
 Evaluation of technical bid and drawings reviews necessary for projects.
 Conducting engineering site surveys.
 Monitoring and following-up the performance of the installed systems and equipments in the
fields.
 Holding meetings with vendors, contractors, field engineers, Projects department and other
departments to follow up and evaluate operations progress.
 Attending FAT, SAT, commissioning and start-up.
 Reporting periodically to the Operations General Manager.
 Creating work scopes for needed systems' upgrades and new systems, to be forwarded to
vendors, contractors and/or Operations department.
 Administration of the technical parts in contracts with vendors and contractors.
 Supervising, following-up and evaluating maintenance staff performance at the Fields.

 Contacting and dealing with contractors and vendors that perform various tasks in the
field, and evaluate their performance.
 Making presentations for new systems, system upgrades or work issues, and
presenting them to Operations General Manager and Chairman.
II. Field Engineer, Instrumentation and Control, QARUN Base, Western Desert, QARUN
Petroleum Company

 Installation, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of field instrumentation devices in
the plant like control valves, pressure transmitters, level transmitters, temperature
transmitters, switches, gauges, actuators, pneumatic controllers, flow meters, transducers and
protection devices on engines, compressors, and pumps.
 Planning and leading technicians in execution of preventive and periodic maintenances of
instrumentation devices and systems in the plant.

Title: PCB Design Workstation

Abstract: This project implements a portable printed circuit board drilling machine which is
capable of drilling a circuit board layout based on NC files output from a CAD application. The
machine drills holes at the correct points on the board, based on the input from the file. The
project addresses the challenges of integrating all of these different hardware and software
components as computer software, parallel port interface, PIC microcontrollers and a motor
interface hardware circuit.
