  1989-1997 The founder& Director General, the Bahrain Stock Exchange. 1985-1989 Advisor to the Minister of Commerce and the government of Bahrain in regard to the development of the capital market and responsible for the establishment of Bahrain Stock Exchange and its operations. 1993 – 1994 Chairman of Union of Arab Stock Exchanges. 1977-1979 Gulf International Bank, Bahrain – (GCC owned bank)Worked in different departments such as Accounts, Internal Auditing, Marketing and head of Research and Information department. 1977 Gulf Air- Accountant. RESEARCH & STUDIES: 1. Doctorate dissertation titled “Bahrain Stock Exchange: Structured Model- Organization and Mechanism". 1984 2. Introduced cross listing agreements among many exchanges in the Arab world. Signed the agreements between Bahrain and other stock exchanges such as Oman, Kuwait, Jordan, and Egypt in 1995 & 1996 respectively. 3. Drafted the cross listing agreements between Bahrain and the other exchanges in 1995 & 1996 respectively. 4. Drafted the UAE, Emirate Stock Exchange law ( 1995), and advised the Minister of Commerce and National Economy of the UAE with regard to stock exchange establishment and operations through special agreement between government of Bahrain and the UAE in 1995 – 1996. 5. Conducted research and prepared many studies in banking and finance. 6. Conducted marketing studies about commercial banks. 7. Conducted research in management, finance, public administration submitted to some financial institutions in USA as part of the D.B.A program and to other financiayl institutions in the GCC Countries thereafter. 8. Published articles in business magazines and newspapers to promote the awareness about the importance of the securities markets in different Arab and non- Arab countries in the Middle East .
