Vessel was engaged in saturation diving salvage work on rig collapsed by Hurricane Katrina. 660V Split
switchboards with four bowthrusters and two stern Azimuths {Aquamasters} Diesel generators are Wartsila
X 4 R32 Responsible for dive technicians and all support equipment for safe diving operations. Premaster
is the planned maintenance system. Other vessels I have worked on within this company are DSV Puma
GOM.

Caterpillar engine used for back up to power thrusters. 3 Volvo geneators @ 200 kw each with shaft
generators rated at 1MW each. Multi national engine room crew.

Chief Engineer on multi purpose Pipe Laying vessel in the Gulf of Mexico. This vessel had ROV and
diving capabilities. Ensure all mechanical and electrical equipment was in order and also maintain pipe
laying hydraulics and electrical system. Provide technical support to Rov Operations. Vessel was DP2

Chief Engineer on Drill vessel with ROV operations in the Gulf of Mexico. Maintain and all mechanical
and electrical systems on board vessel. Delegate work to engine room personnel on daily basis. Twin
engine Wartsila 6000hp with Volvo generators. DP 2.

Chief Engineer on DSV. Maintain and troubleshoot all mechanical and electrical equipment on board
vessel. Provide technical support for saturatin diving operations and maintain compressors, generators

Chief Engineer on ocean going salvage tugs. Maintain and troubleshoot all mechanical and electrical
equipment on board vessel. Vessel was 10,000 hp with towing capacity of up to 100 ton bollard pull. I
was also responsible for carrying out ISO audits for company on some of their other vessels. Worked at
shipyard building hulls for Z drive tugs that were built for company.
1989-2005 Chief Engineer/ Second Engineer
Irving Tankers.
Sailed as second engineer on Irving Canada and also Irving Ocean. Main engine Sulzer 18000 BHP
with steam turbine cargo pumps and caterpillar generators. Responsible for all maintenance in
engine room and delegating work to watchkeepers. Chief engineer on Hors Polaire, coastal tanker,
with Nahab engine 9 cylinder 13000 BHP.
1981-1989 Second Engineer Shell Canadian Tankers
Second engineer on Arctic Explorer. Twin engine paxman 6000 BHP. Responsible for all maintenance
in engine room and effecting repairs to work boats and barges when we worked in the Arctic. Also
responsible for setting up mobile pump units at tank farms in Inuit villages.
1979-1981 Underground Mechanical Foreman
Roan Consolidated Mines, Zambia.
Responsible for all mechanical repairs to pumping stations and diesel-electrical equipment on all
underground levels in copper mine. Had crew of twelve artisan fitters to oversee and delegate work
to on daily basis. Also was on mine rescue team.
1972-1979 British Merchant Navy
Sailed with various companies, Ellerman City Liners, John I. Jacobs and Ropners. I started as a
junior engineer and finished as a second engineer with Ellermans on board the City of Colombo. All
vessels I sailed on were J type Doxford engines.

Apprenticeship as a fitter/turner. I attended technical college on weekly release program and
achieved City & Guilds Part 1 and 2 in mechanical engineering craft practice.
