  Curriculum Vitae Hua RongCurriculum Vitae 2 Hua Rong PROJECT ARCHITECT PROJECT | Dennis Department Store, 2015.6-currentits Key achievements: Located in the heart of the city, the project will be the anchor of its owner, the largest local chain department store operator. It contains a 7-leveled department store and a 4-leveled entertainment centre on the top. I undertook the technical leader role, worked with project team under design leader from the beginning, and then developed an inviting but reasonable and affordable scheme. The project now is in the final SD phase. PROJECT | Jiading Incity Shopping Mall, 2015.1-present Key achievements: Located in northwest suburb of Shanghai, Jiading Incity Shopping Mall will be the 7 th largest shopping mall in its metropolitan region. The terraced roof garden is the grand feature of the project. I prepared some possible concepts on how to build the roof gardens and coordinated with structure engineers and landscape architects to balance among the architectural formation, the retail beneficial, and the technical requirements. The project now is in final SD phase. PROJECT | West Hongqiao Complex, 2014.9-current Key achievements: Located in west new CBD of Shanghai, the west Hongqiao Complex contains five parcels covering the total GFA of 617,000 m 2 . The project’s function includes mall, lifestyle retail, office, serviced apartment, and public transportation hub. I mainly worked on the traffic circulation issues to ensure that the vehicle drive way and pedestrian walk way performed harmonized with each other. The project is now in the design development phase. I was also engaged in the facade detail design and worked with curtain wall consultant closely. PROJECT | Xiangtan Better Life Project 2013.9-2014.10 Key achievements: Located in Xiangtan new CBD, the complex’s function includes shopping mall, lifestyle retail, hotel, office, and serviced apartment covering the total GFA of 677,000m 2 . I joined the project from its SD stage and took the role of Project Architect. My concentration of work in this project focused on the technical coordination of structure, MEP, and building safety issues. The project is now in construction. PROJECT | Pujiangzhen 125-3/4 Project 2013.9-2014.4 Key achievements: Located in the south suburb of Shanghai, Pujiangzhen 125-3/4 Project contains two parcels and gathers lifestyle retail, hotel, office, villa, and service apartment with the GFA of 275,000m 2 . I joined the project in design development phase and took the role of project architect. Apart from the facade detailing work, I took the responsibility on the design result reviews to ensure and monitor that the construction could maintain our design intent. The project now is near its construction completion.

  Curriculum Vitae Hua RongCurriculum Vitae 3 Hua Rong PROJECT ARCHITECT PROJECT | Century Link Plaza 2008.6-2011.11 Collaborated with SOM, US Key achievements: Located in Shanghai Pudong CBD, the project will be the only complex which has four metro lines underneath. I took part in the project from the beginning, providing technical consultancy till design development phase. The main responsibility came to me in the construction documentation phase. One tower of the project was built and the other parts are still under construction. PROJECT | Citic Bank Headquarter 2009.11-2011.6 Collaborated with Foster + Partners, UK Key achievements: Located in the centre of Hangzhou new CBD, the building will be the new headquarter of Citic Bank. I took part in the project from the beginning, providing technical consultancy till design development phase and took full responsibility in construction documentation phase and on-site service. The cladding system was the project’s shinning point but rather challenging to integrate the structure and curtain wall with high accuracy in 3D. The project has just been built. PROJECT | Jinhongqiao Centre, 2006.3-2008.3 Collaborated with John Portman Associates, US Key achievements: Located in the heart of Shanghai Hongqiao CBD, the project owns a unique feature that two 150m towers form a Chinese character of “door”. I joined the project team in SD phase by providing technical consultancy till design development phase, and took full responsibility in construction documentation phase and on-site service. The project made its debut in December 2013 and became a popular public entertainment space. PROJECT | Culture Wave City & City Balcony, 2005.4-2006.4 Collaborate with Obermeyer Planen + Beraten, Germany Key achievements: The project is located in Hangzhou new CBD, cantilevering above the Qiantang River. It stretches north on the land and forms a commercial public. I joined the project team in construction documentation phase and started from the small building facades and detailing design. It was the first project in my career and won the second prize of Chinese National Outstanding Engineering Survey and Design Projects Year 2011 after its completion and opening.
