- 2. Pitch-story line Our film distribution company is called On the Brink. The film we created is called Dead End, the film is an action/thriller. The film is about a secret agent who has secret documents which have information about British government plans to attack the Russian headquarters. The Russian mafia hear about this plan so they want to track the documents and steal them. The secret agent goes to the location of the documents and receives a call from an unknown person to take the documents however he is unaware that he is being followed. The agent is abducted. The agents from the MI6 hear about his abduction and decide to track him down. The mafia take the agent back to Russia to find out more information about the plan. The Russian mafia brainwash the agent to turn him against the MI6. The agents find the secret location and plan an attack to get their agent out of there. There is a twist in the film because the audience think the protagonists will be successful, however the Russian mafia are the team that come out on top. They use the agent as bait to lure in the other agents. They kill all the agents but one, who manages to get away but he is badly wounded. In our opening sequence, we explain what happens to the agent. When the film starts, it then flashes back to when he was working at his office.
- 3. Pitch- effect on audience We show the audience the build up to the agent’s abduction. We feel that the ending will cause a cliff hanger, this will creates an enigma. The twist is unique, we did this to keep the audience wanting to know what is going to happen. This will keep them glued to the film. We researched and found that that action/thriller is one of the most popular film genres at this moment in time. Therefore we are aiming our film at a wide audience.
