The Delta plus variant is a mutation of the Delta variant that was first detected in India. It has now been detected in multiple states in India and is able to evade monoclonal antibody treatment. While its severity is still unknown, it is believed to be more transmissible than the original strain detected in Wuhan, China. Symptoms of the Delta plus variant are similar to the original COVID-19 virus but also include skin rashes, toe color changes, and diarrhea. Precautions against Delta plus include getting vaccinated, thorough cleaning of objects from outside, social distancing, and wearing double masks.
