Editor's Notes

  • #2 The ARAL Program is designed to help learners recover from missed lessons and skills. Parents play a vital role here. BATAS N PO ITO UNDER RA 12028 S 2024
  • #3 Our vision is not just academic success but holistic growth—social, emotional, and mental well-being. ESSENTIAL SKILLS PARTICULARLY READING.. HOLISTIC-PACKAGE DEAL N PO
  • #4 These four goals guide the entire program and ensure no child is left behind. PARTNERSHIPS AMONG PARENTS/STAKEHOLDERS AND MAYORS/LGU
  • #5 Learners who meet the minimum proficiency levels may be allowed to enroll in supplemental classes under the ARAL Program during the summer break. Priority shall be given to the learners as enumerated above. Learners in qualified private basic education institutions who are below the minimum proficiency levels required in reading, mathematics, and science and failing in formative and summative assessments shall be provided the same interventions upon request in accordance with RA 12028. In case of limited slots for enrollment, preference shall be given to beneficiaries of the Educational Service Contracting Scheme.
  • #6 ARAL provides step-by-step support to learners while involving parents at every stage.
  • #7 Figure 2 illustrates the framework of the ARAL Program, highlighting its key components, which include the beneficiaries, determination and assessment of learners, intervention delivery, progress monitoring, and post-assessment. The ARAL Program shall commence with the beginning-of-the-school-year (BOSY) assessment to determine the learners needing intervention in each type of beneficiary. Identified learners shall undergo the ARAL intervention programs with continuous monitoring of their progress through formative assessments. Learners who meet the grade-level competencies shall exit the ARAL Program, while those who do not shall continue under the program. At the end of the school year, learners shall be administered the end-of-the-school-year (EOSY) assessment, and those who need further support shall participate in ARAL-Summer Programs for additional intervention.
  • #9 These strategies are practical and ensure learners are supported both in school and at home.
  • #10 Parents are co-educators. Your involvement makes a huge difference.
  • #11 With ARAL, we aim to raise both academic performance and parent engagement.
  • #12 Monitoring ensures that no learner is left behind and strategies remain effective.
  • #13 Let’s work together—teachers, parents, and community—to make ARAL a success.
  • #14 Thank you parents! Your support is invaluable. Let’s now open the floor for your questions and clarifications.
