Prospects of Muslim renaissance
 In twenty first century Muslim world is passing through a very
challenging and crucial situation.
 We will face many problems in near future and we have to fight
for our survival.
 there are multidimenshional external as well as internal
challenges in muslim world.
 The Muslim world is under cultural raid and very fatal
conspiracies.
 In order to know about problems we first look at physical and
demographic profile of the Muslim world:
Area and population of Muslim
 The Muslim world represents one fifth of humanity occupying a global
land mass spreading over 57 countries.
 It represents 23% of world population.
 The birth rate in Muslim world is 3.4%.
 About 80 % of Muslim population is living in the Muslim countries
and the rest in tthe non-Muslim countries.
Defence
 The Muslim world is very weak as far as their defence is
concerned due to low literacy rate and short of science and
technology. In this case they can not compete with the wastern
world.
 Most of Muslim countries look to the west for their defence.
 Although Muslim world spends 75 billion dollarson defence but
still they are unable to resist aggression from the West
 Despites all expenditures on defences, they have not been able to
even face the threat that has been hammering at the doors of the
Arab and Muslim world for over 50 years in form of small states of
Israel.
Economy Trade and Industry
 The Muslim world is well rich in economic resources playing a
vital role world economy.
 it has 70% of world oil resources and nearly 50% of world natural
resources.
 TheMuslim world occupies 45% of world agricultural land and has
a well developed river system to irrigate it.
 Despites of these statistics it is very unfortunate tha the Muslim
world represent only 5% of world GNP.
 The share of Muslim world in global revenue is only a meager
7.5%.
Education
 It is one of joint features of Muslim world that they are backword
in education.
 A very small portion of national budget is associated to
education. The Muslim world spend less than 4% of their GDP on
education
Challenges faced by Muslim Ummah in Today's
World
 Today the whole world is facing problems and is full of disturbances.
 Being part of world muslim Ummah faces the same situation rather it
would not be wrong to say that Muslim world greater problems than
rest of world.
 One of basic reasons of all the problems of Muslim ummah is
associating Islam and Muslims with those people who want disturb
pease of world
 The problems of Muslims are not only because of these baseless
blames but also because of internal weakness which has brought whole
Ummah on the brink of collapse.
Identity of Muslim Ummah
 It is a common perception that islam is a religion of terror brutality
and violance and that every muslim is terrorist.
 The identity of Muslim ummah has been made doubtful but the fact
is that Islam isthe religion of peace and protection.
 This is all because of internal weakness of Muslim Ummah.
 Islam declares whole of Muslims as one and single Umaah not
nation.Every person is part of it who belief on Allah and last prophet.
 The problem of Muslim ummah is that it has become nation's ad not
milt.
 From here we started losing our identity and it reached its peak when
we lost fundamentals Holy Quran and Sunnah.
Lack of Unity and Co-operation
 MuslimUmmah has divided into segments .The situation is that
Muslims of Ashia has no concern with the Muslim of Europe.
 Whaenover we talk about Ummah we put more emphasis on
their economic disparity,poverty,ignorance,dictatorships and so
on.
 But division and disunity among Muslim ranks is one of basic
issues of Muslim Ummah.
 Muslim have more than 60% of world resources one sixth
populationof the world having 67 lakh army but still it is defeated
Nation.
Lack of Unity and Co-operation
 The reason for the failure of Islamic countries to reclaim
the right of the Palestinians is the lack of unity and the
lack of Islamic identity. Many of so-called Muslim rulers
don’t follow Islam in any aspect.
 In fact being Muslim is not an issue of ethnicity and
origin, it’s the issue of faith.
Economic challenges of Ummah
 Muslims Represents 1/5th of world's population,possess 70% of
world's energy resouces,40% available raw material,
 Total GDP of Muslims countries=5% of world's total
 Entire GDP of OIC states =4300 billion US $ and
Japan = 5500 billion US $
Social problems
 Nationalism and Sectarianism
 Jihad and terrirism
 Absorption of Foreign Culture
 Clash of civilization
Terrorism
 It is one of major issue of today's World which has resulted in
killing of thousands of people including Muslims in which
muslims are prominently involved.
If one examines a wide range of sources, however, a number of
key patterns emerge that make five things very clear:
 First, the overwhelming majority of extremist and violent terrorist
incidents do occur in largely Muslim states.
 Second, most of these incidents are perpetrated by a small
minority of Muslims seeking power primarily in their own areas
of operation and whose primary victims are fellow Muslims.
Educational Decay
 Lack of creativity and
innovation
 Failure to promote Technical
education
 Failure to educate women
Soluton
 Follow the teachings of islam.
 Improve the education system
 Eliminate terrorism and promote jihad
 Improve the economic rate
 Muslim Ummah should be uniteds
Slam to all of you!
Thanks!
