Editing software
- 1. Editing Software Throughout the duration of making my music video I will be using various software in order to make sure that my items remain as successful and professional as possible. The software that I am going to be using most frequently are Adobe InDesign CS6 and Premiere CS6. These programs will be used both in the creation of my digipak and magazine advert, but also the editing of my video. As a result of this, these two programs will be sed correctly, they will allow me to achieve the highest grade possible and leave me with a high quality and professional product. However, I may also have to use Adobe After Effects so that I can edit clips from my video and add in effects if they are needed. This will be a new product for me to use, and this may lead me to struggle to use the programme but I will persevere and do my best to get the hang of it.
- 2. Adobe Premier I will be using this software to edit my footage that I have previously filmed. Luckily my school have all of this software already installed into their computers so it is easily accessed. With this programme you drag and drop clips into a storyboard where you can cut clips in half and shorten them etc. I am not the best with these types of programmes as I am easily frustrated and this programme is likely to crash.
- 3. Adobe Photoshop I will be using Adobe Photoshop to edit the images for my digipak and also for my magazine advert. Photoshop has a variety of tools that will help me to make my images look professional, for example, one tool that I will use regularly is the tool that lets me remove the background (if needed) from the image. I will also be able to use visual effects, which will make my images optically enjoyable and interesting for the audience. Using a range of effects such as filters, will allow the audience to see the skill that I have in Photoshop, which I have gradually gained over years of using it. Not only this, I can use Photoshop to create my digipak and my magazine advert, therefore making this software a very useful and important part of my project.
- 4. Adobe After Effects With Adobe after effects you use this once you have completed editing all of your footage; this is the programme where you can add effects like black and white to give you music video that kind of effect. This will finish off my music video and give it the feel I want to it to have and hopefully it will be very effective. It will also give my music video the professional effect because not all videos look natural with the normal every day effect.
- 5. Adobe InDesign In InDesign I will be creating my digipak and Magazine Advert, I will have to remember how to use all the tools from year 12 when creating my magazine but once I get the hang of the programme it will be easier to create my digipak. InDesign has many different tools to help me layout my work and make it look professional. It has a really good tool to make sure that I can get my magazine advert looking symmetrical, it will make it look like someone who is in the industry has created it.
