End-of-year project
- 1. ENGLISH END-OF-YEAR PROJECT FOR ESO AND 1º BAC School year 2008-2009
- 3. In order to give you the chance of improving your end-of-year mark in English, you can choose either of the following projects: 1. PowerPoint presentation 2. Video
- 5. OR MICROSOFT MOVIE MAKER
- 6. It is an individual work Length: from 4 to 6 minutes Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 or 2007 only, preferable 2003 version (*.pps) Microsoft Movie Maker
- 7. Topics: Topics related to the units in your book Chat room A magazine (Hello!, Very Interesting, Reveal, Vogue, Cosmopolitan, etc…) Fashion Biography Science Music Video games A field trip A trip abroad Countries, cities or towns Movies News Etc
- 8. You can include photographs, video, music... The presentation MUST include a reasonable part of texts in English The work will be shown in class This work may add up to 1 point in the final mark of the subject Assessment: English writing (grammar, vocabulary, structure...), technical aspects and creativity.
- 9. 2. VIDEO
- 10. Made by a maximum of 4 people from either group A or B Length: from 6 to 9 minutes. Only CD or DVD in AVI or MPG format. NO TAPES ACCEPTED Topic: a scene from any movie you choose where dialogue has a relevant part. The dialogues will be the same as the ones in the movie, but you may change some lines if necessary.
- 11. The work will be shown in class. Assessment: Pronunciation, intonation, balanced participation of all the members of the group, sound quality , and performance of the actors. This work may add up to 1 point in the final mark of the subject. All the members of the work will get the same mark.
- 12. DEADLINE Tuesday June 9 th 2009
- 13. IMPORTANT This work will be taken into account providing that you have passed the subject (a 5 at least) at the end of the third term.
