Endometriosis is a complex disease affecting 35%-50% of women with pain or infertility, with significant healthcare costs exceeding $70 billion annually. There is ongoing debate regarding treatment options, including the use of GnRH analogues and surgical procedures, and the disease remains poorly understood, complicating management and care. Current therapies are often not ideal, leading to a search for more effective pharmacological agents with long-term safety and efficacy.
