3. What kind of media institutions might
distribute your media product and why?

• Media institutions companies like
Bauer and IPC distribute a different
     range of magazine genres,
I think my magazine would be most suitable to an
              independent publisher.
• I would distribute by selling hard copies of the magazine in different retail
like supermarkets, newsagents and especially WHSmiths). I will be able to
reach all of my niche target audience, it is easy to access and can be kept
as a physical item. This present day supermarkets are the main
distribution points & sellers of magazines. I would also have of my media
product online, technology has made a massive impact on
magazines, since my target audience are young people they would be
more interested to view my media product on different platforms to
experience the content in a different way. Magazine like NME gone
online, so by putting making my product available in different forms it is
more likely to reach to all those grouped in my target audience, I would be
synchronized with the competition. Also, it would help to attract younger
audiences to my magazine as many more young people are spending there
time online, rather than in magazine shops.
• IPC would distribute my media product
because they are a wholly owned as auxiliary
by Time Inc and a consumer magazine and
‘digital publisher’ in the United Kingdom, with
a large portfolio selling over 350 million copies
  each year. Which means:-
• More money for my magazine to continue
• More exposure
• Multi platforms
• Synergy
• FREE ADVERTISEMENT!!
