How did you attract/
address your audience?
Front cover I have addressed my audience on my front
cover firstly through the main image I have
used, the artists are looking into the camera
this makes a direct mode of address between
the reader and the artists as it looks like the
are looking directly at them. I feel I have
also attracted my audience through the use
of puffs like the one in the top right and the
one advertising a sneak peek of the new
Taylor Swift album, these features may
attract audiences that may not have read my
magazine before but who are interested in
what is advertised in the puffs. I also
attracted my audience through the use of
the bright text, which will attract their
attention when it is on the shelf and make it
stand out.
Contents page
I have attracted my target audience to the
articles in the magazine by having a large page
number on the two images to show them
where the articles are situated in the
magazine. I have also written the titles of the
columns in bold so the readers will find it
easier to find where the articles they want to
read are. I have also written the editors letter
in bold as it may be something quite
interesting for them to read and by writing it
in bold text makes it stand out and catch the
readers attention.
Double page spread
One of the main ways I have attracted
my audiences attention on my double
page spread is through the word
“hard” in my pull quote being in
capital letters and a different colour,
this may work in attracting the
audience as they may want to find out
what the quote is about. I have also
written the questions in a bright pink,
this should mean that my target
audience are attracted to a question
and want to find out the answer to
that particular question.
