and why?
IPC Media Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of
Time Inc., is a consumer magazine and
digital publisher in the United Kingdom, with
a large portfolio selling over 350 million
copies each year.
They deal with 26 million adults in the United
Kingdom, under 60% are female and over 40% are
male. Their award winning portfolio of websites also
gains around 25 million users world wide.
Publishing
 They only publish one music magazine, NME
 They can succeed selling wise because they are so unique
 IPC Media is such a well known company meaning they have alternative
options with regards to advertisement and can get help from such a big media
institution.

Distribution
 I expect my product to be distributed in leading supermarkets such as ASDA,
Sainsbury’s and Tesco. I would also want my product to be distributed in
newsagents and local corners shops.
 I am aware with the way technology is advancing and I’m aware with how a
lot of people own smartphones and tablets and other portable devices, so I
hope to release my product on online platforms as well as releasing print
copies, that way there’s more options for the audience to acquire my
product.
Subscriptions
 Near enough every magazine offers fans to subscribe to their magazine, to
follow yet another convention, as will mine. This will allow readers to have
the privilege of having the magazine to their home, and for a discount.
 Due to technology advancing, I will have a website which will include
exclusive information, it will be updated regularly during the day, keeping up
to date with rock music and all the news, it would follow a similar colour
scheme to my pages to keep consistent.
