Expressive Hands
Contour lines can define the surface undulations and shapes of objects by embracing their forms and defining their surfaces. A strong contour drawing combines different types of contours such as blind contours that trace an object's outline without looking at the paper, outline contours that trace visible edges, and cross contours that trace lines across shapes or objects. The goal is to use contour lines expressively to create drawings of hands.
