FEEDBACK
When making and editing a music video,
feedback is extremely important. Feedback
helps the producers and editors decide what will
make the project most appealing and
interesting.
Therefore, while I was editing my music video I
decided to ask some peers and a teacher what
they thought of the music video. The answers I
received were:
Peer 1 “The narrative is strong, and I am glad you
did not use a performance aspect as it would not
have worked well with the song you have chosen.”
Peer 2 “The song is very interesting and the band is
very indie/rock”
Peer 3 “Excellent narrative, but you may need to
add some more camera shots to make it have a bit
more variety.”
(When I asked for a suggestion of a shot they would like to see, peer 3
suggested the following..)
“Perhaps a close-up of a leaf”
To which a media teacher added:
“A close-up of her foot while walking would be
interesting”
What Did You Gain From This
              Feedback?
I have taken all the comments on board and
decided to do another shoot. I want to shoot
some very interesting and unique camera shots
and I will definitely include the shot about the
actors’ foot, as I found it very interesting.
However if this is not plausible or possible or
perhaps the camera cannot pick up the shot as
well as I would like, I will edit it out in post-
production.
