We have extensive financial planning experience with all of our advisers being Chartered Financial Planners, or actively working towards this. The Implementation Meeting We provide all the information to give you the confidence to make the decisions that will move you towards your financial goals and objectives. The actual implementation of the plan often requires large amounts of paperwork. We remove the hassle by organising everything and ensuring that everything is processed smoothly and efficiently. 1. The Exploratory Discussion We want clients to be comfortable that they are making the right choice of adviser. This meeting is to find out what you are looking to achieve from your financial planning and for us to explain how we operate. We can then decide how we can work together and agree the way forward. 6. The Calibration Audit The most important aspect of the financial planning process is monitoring your progress. We will meet you on a regular basis to confirm that your plan is working for you, and make any required changes. The value of investments and the income from them can fall as well as rise and is not guaranteed. You may not get back the amount originally invested.

The Positioning Meeting This paves the way for the successful development of your financial plan. By the end of the meeting we will know enough to start formulating your financial strategy and implementing the techniques to help make the most of your money. We will agree the areas of financial planning that we will look at with you, and the costs. 3. The Reconnaissance Survey After our meeting we go into forensic detail about your existing arrangements so that we know exactly what you have in place - the charges, the underlying fund performance and the small print of the contracts. By liaising with your existing advisers and product providers, we are able to make objective and informed recommendations based on facts, rather than speculation. 4. The Alignment Strategy We will clearly explain the rationale behind our recommendations so that you are comfortable with the strategies within your plan. So what do we actually do? We help clients understand the risks they face and to take measured decisions they are comfortable with. These are then reviewed on a regular basis to ensure investment strategies are still aligned to their situation. All portfolios are re-balanced on a regular basis to capitalise on gains or buy assets that are undervalued. This means maintaining sufficient capital to allow them to ride out short-term volatility in investment portfolios. We also advise clients where short-term tactical change should be considered. Fund Managers are kept to their brief by undertaking ongoing due diligence, ensuring that investments are well-balanced and diversified. Taxes are a part of life - but these liabilities are minimised by the appropriate use of tax advantageous investments and careful tax planning. The simplest is the best - ‘Buy low and Sell high’, which is sound in theory but virtually impossible to achieve in the real world. Our approach to investments is based on comprehensive intellectual research, and our decisions are based on a combination of leading academic theory and time-tested principles with the intention of delivering a more coherent and dependable investment strategy. The Advanced Investment Strategy™ is built around the Markowitz Model. First put forward in 1952 - Harry Markowitz was awarded the Nobel Prize for Economics in 1990 for his systematic technique for building an investment portfolio and adjusting it over time. We do not believe in chasing performance or attempting to second guess what the markets will do. We adopt a structured and disciplined approach to investing which seeks to manage risk, target appropriate returns, minimise tax and, above all, help our clients to increase the probability of achieving their financial and lifestyle objectives. The Advanced Investment Strategy™ is successful because it works on the understanding that investing is 90% asset allocation and 10% investment choice. Too many people focus solely on investment choice, when asset allocation is the prime cause in successful long-term financial plans. We believe in the benefits of a long term strategic view of asset allocation with some short term adjustments to manage volatility and risk.
