KA-SAT is a new high-throughput satellite launched by Eutelsat that provides broadband internet services across Europe. It has 80 Gbps of capacity, 35 times more than traditional satellites. KA-SAT uses new technology like spot beams and IP/MPLS networking to provide affordable broadband access to both consumers and businesses in areas underserved by terrestrial networks.
