A 31-year-old male presents with left forearm pain and swelling after being hit with a pool cue. Examination reveals diffuse swelling and tenderness over the mid-forearm with increased pain on wrist flexion and extension. X-rays show a mid-shaft radial fracture with disruption of the distal radioulnar joint. The patient requires urgent orthopedic consultation for open reduction and internal fixation of the radius and visualization of the radioulnar joint, as adult Galeazzi fractures require surgical stabilization.
