Lawrence King He was a 15 year  old boy who was gay On February 12 th   2008 he was shot by his classmate Brandon   ( 1993-2008) Lawrence had asked Brandon to be his valentine
Ronnie Antonio Paris He was a three year old  baby killed by his father (2004-2008) The father believed his son was gay
Homophobia can cause disruption 26% of gay teens forced to leave their home after coming out to their parents Out of the 1.6 million homeless American youth about 20% to 40% identified as LGBT Homophobia is leading to Homelessness
There is difficulty even in the workplace Employment discrimination 18% would fire 27% would not hire  26% would not promote Being gay has nothing to do with a persons quality  of work Homophobia in the workplace
What most people do not realize is how LGBT feel towards all the negativity  They are insecure and are more likely to: Commit suicide  Experience severe depression Do drugs Pressure with being homosexual in today’s society

What can you do to help? Take part in International Day Against Homophobia Held on May 17 th Donate to an anti-homophobia organization Start by contributing to some organizations Participate in School Activities and Fundraisers For Example at UFA we have  SASS
