SynopsisOur Horror / Thriller Opening An average working class man, who's friends and family would say he was the nicest guy you would ever meet. But something lurks within his mind. He has moral and a conscious, but has an unknown extreme case of schizophrenia. At random he would lash out and go on a blood thirsty rampage as he hunts down his next victim. The opening starts with the killer sitting on a leather chair, tapping his fingers nervously on the arm. The audience can only see the silhouette of the killer from behind. The camera pans round his head to show the sight of a dead young girl. The sequence frequently goes to flashbacks of the killing. The flashback consist of the girl seeing the killer and running franticly throught the abandoned query. The shots of the killer at his house show him walking up to the girl, then washing his hands of blood (point of view). The killer finds an axe stuck in a log which he uses to lunge at the girl, it misses and hits a tree. The girl falls down the well and as she struggles to climb out, the killer raises his machete and strikes her. The face of the killer is never seen throught the sequence.

Screen shotsWe have chosen this screen shot as the camera shot highlights the weapon used by the murderer. The camera shot also shows us the victim in the background, but is not in focus. The knife however is in focus as it will draw the audience towards the knife and therefore create the mood.
LocationThe location of our opening scene is in an abandoned quarry on Cockshot Hill. This will be good for our Horror Genre as it is a scary place with dense woodland.
