  1 UNITUS IMPACT :ESTABLISHING INDONESIA IMPACT INVESTMENT FUND Project Details Highlights of the project • Conducted assessment for impact investment market in Indonesia • Developed due diligence process that was fit to Indonesia market • Managed relationship with one of the portfolio companies, PT RUMA • Structured the legal entity for UI Livelihood Impact Fund to invest in Indonesia • Screened and vetted potential deals related to Indonesia Agung w/ some giants in UI team • Due to the work that I did, UI Indonesia Livelihood Fund managed to up and run to invest in Indonesia • UI is now better connected in social enterprise world in Indonesia through partnership establishments with some local business incubator • I am now part of not only the UI FIRM, but UI FAMILY – an amazing family consists of amazing people dedicating life for enhancing livelihood in Asia • My project with UI connected me to World Economic Forum (WEF) which then I was assigned as the WEF advisor to establish another impact investment fund sponsored by WEF in Indonesia Agung Nugroho, Summer Associate, Unitus Impact, San Francisco & Indonesia

  Maya Tobias. TwoDegrees. Business Development Intern. San Francisco. Project details: Managed corporate partnerships and sales. Got our bars into Google, Microsoft, Intel, Haas FIFO. (Google is now their biggest customer) Created Hunger Awareness Month campaign for Twitter. Also conducted market assessment for new product launch and developed a new Campus Ambassador Program.

  Pablo Cuaron, SummerIntern at the Environmental Defense Fund, San Francisco ,2013 Project Details: • Worked with EDF’s Oceans Program and Catch Shares Design Center • Developed a financial model de understand the costs and benefits of reforming and transitioning fisheries from a traditional management program to a managed access program (Catch Shares) • Estimated the ROI for the potential stakeholders involved in a project with these characteristics Highlights: • Built a compelling business case for the Belizean lobster and queen conch fisheries identifying $2.4 M incremental Cash flows for managed access program scenario vs Business as Usual scenario. • Presented business case to potential investors and secured funding to run managed access programs in Belize

  Other highlights: • Togetherwith Agora, Indigenous Designs, and the HUB SF, created the Social Entrepreneurs’ Pit Stop to provide in-person mentoring hours for over 40 entrepreneurs during the SOCAP13 conference. Laura Tilghman, Summer Associate Agora Partnerships is an accelerator for Latin American social entrepreneurs Project Details: • Created a business development and partnership strategy for Agora in the Bay Area. • Contributed to the development of an investment prospectus to raise capital for Agora’s accelerator program.

  ALMA RICO –EDUCATION PIONEERS STRATEGIC PLANNING FELLOW Alpha Public Schools Start up blended learning charter school network focused on improving outcomes for underserved students in East San Jose Project details • Developed a strategic plan outlining Alpha’s expansion from a single middle school to a cluster of school supported by a Charter Management Organization (CMO) • Developed a multi-year financial model detailing school and organization-level revenues and expenses for the next 5 years Highlights • Collected best practices for successful replication by connecting with charter school leaders in the Bay Area • Strategic plan and financial model resulted in 300K grant and potential for additional fundraising

  About the organization Highlightsof the project Erica Butow, Education Pioneers Fellow placed at Harlem Village Academies • Education Pioneers attracts, prepares, and advances top leaders to transform education into the best led and managed sector in the U.S. so that all children receive a high-quality education • Harlem Village Academies (HVA) is one of the best network of charter schools in NYC serving more than 1500 children from low income families from K-12 grades • Helped to improve schools efficiency by revising and redesigning processes and governance systems • Developed and led project to foster a culture of making decisions based on evidences • Conducted diagnosis on local school staff needs and present it to the HVA network leadership • Empowered schools staff and teachers to use more data by leading training session on analytical skills • Designed and implemented the “data forum”, sessions on which the data team provides evidence and conduct discussion about schools policies and management “burning questions”  The first session led to the revision of the “students retention” policies: data showed that students who repeated the academic year did not improve in the long term and were more likely to drop out of school The Student voice: "Coming to HVA changed my character.
