By combining the style of my main music video
and its supporting items, it made the overall
look of the products seem very professional
and industry standard. Over the next few
slides are screen shots of each item showing
how the look is continuous over the digi-pak,
website and music video.

As the previous slides show through the screen shots
of the products, all the products stick to the same
theme throughout.
There is a strong corporate identity shown throw the
similarity of all the products. This was very
important to me for all the items to be similar and
carry the same black and white, stylistic theme.
The products image portray straight away to anyone
who sees one of the items, the type of artist and
genre of music that it relates to. This is why it was
extremely important that they were related and gave
across the clear visual style about what they are all
promoting.
In order for the three products to
merge together and create a
successful brand that had to link
together. The audience needed to
immediately be able to recognise one
of the three products and relate it to
the artist and the single she has
released.
SYNERGY
the combination of two or more products which
combine to create a greater force than if they were
standing alone.
All the products use the idea of synergy to
strengthen the link between them. By having the
consistent use of the strong, recognisable
branding on all the products repeatedly reminds
the audience of the brand of this promotion.
Strengthening the vision in the viewers mind each
time they view one of the products.
How do they link?
All the products have the title of the artist and the song clearly
displayed on them all written in the same carefully designed fonts.
The corporate identity/brand that I created is displayed all over the
products which is continuous use of familiar shots all linking back to
the music video shoot.
Colour: the theme of black and white is strong on all of the three
products. This links the three items in a very clear and distinct way
due to the simplicity but effectiveness of the use of theme. This theme
represents the slick, professional and glossy look the whole style of
this promotion was after as it fits the genre.
Simplicity. My intention throughout the production of these products
was to stick to conventions from the genre that I found during
research. This was that the aim of the branding was to be as clear as
possible by displaying the most important information in a stylistic way.
Therefore I ensured this on all three of the items.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
The main reason that it is so important to create this
strong branding on the main music video and supporting
items is to promote the song. By creating such a strong,
unique look on the product enables that whenever a person
sees one of the products for the first time the visual
design will attract them to find out more. Resulting in
more sales of the artists music.
If we compare it to the opposite situation where the
branding is weak due to a poor design or unrelated
products, then this is not going to attract or impress a
person to buy the music as it comes across as very
unprofessional and not impressive.
IN CONCLUSION
As I kept the style of all three products very consistent,
this enabled a strong synergy to be created. All of the
products are very similar to each other which is what
allows them to continue the strong theme that I
intended to portray. This continuation of style allows
the look to attract all types of possible fans no matter
what product they view first.
Therefore, due to the designs of all three of my
products that I have created being very consistent with
each other, this has created a strong, clear and effective
branding that will help the promotion of the music.
