HOW I CREATED
I have decided this font will be the font for my masthead as it is large, it has an
effective fill and the purple fits with the colour scheme. This is how I designed the
mast head…
To start with I found a font that was large and basic so that its easy on the eye
and clearer to see the space fill. This is an example using my initials however this
isn’t the actual font I have used but it still works.
I took a screenshot and pasted it back into
publisher or word any works, this is so I can edit
the font as a picture allowing me to remove any
backgrounds.
I removed the actual text so that its like a
cut-out, this allows for the background to be
seen through the text
Here I have found a space background that I
have pasted onto the same page as my font
cut-out.
Because I’d pasted the space background after
the font I had to send the layer backwards so
that it didn’t overlay.
I then grouped the font and picture together
so that I could the remove the background.
I then pasted the image into word so I could
remove the background and wrapped the
text to enable editing.
Its very messy but here I have removed the white
background
Here’s what it looks like as an example of
a masthead.
