Step 1!Push the [STAT]You should get 3 or more columns labeled L1, L2, L3, etc.Punch in all your data given by your table into the columns*** Make sure each column you use has the same amount of data or you will get an error message!***Note: All of your X’s will go into column L1; your Y’s, L2
Step 2!The next step is turning on a plot so you will be able to actually see your data you entered in step 1To do this, you hit [2nd] then [Y=]Then choose either plot 1, 2, or 3After you choose your plot you then need to highlight {on} and then hit [Enter]*** Make sure that only one plot is turned on***
Step 3!The next step is setting up a windowFirst, click [Window]You will now have to put in a number for the following:X-min, x-max, x-scl, y-min, y-max, y-scl, and finally, x-res.
Guide to setting up a window!X-min: A little smaller than the smallest “X”X-max: A little larger than the largest “X”X-scl: Increments of your choosing; e.g. 1, 2, 5, 10, etc…Y-min: Smaller than smallest “Y”Y-max: Larger than largest “Y”Y-scl: Increments of your choosingX-res: ALWAYS 1 *** Never changes***
Step 4!Finally, hit [Graph]!
NotesTo locate specific points on your graph, hit [Trace] while still viewing your graph. To clear data out of your [Stat] table, highlight the column title and hit [Clear] then [Enter]Graphing is very easy but the slightest mistake could mess up your entire problem!
