The Hudson Estuary Watershed Resiliency Project aims to help municipal officials, highway personnel, and riparian landowners implement strategies to increase watershed resilience and minimize flooding impacts. The project is a partnership between Cornell Cooperative Extension and other organizations. It was created in response to increasing extreme weather events and flood risks in the Hudson Valley region from climate change. The project provides educational programs and materials to stakeholders on topics like flood response, stream management, and infrastructure. Its goal is to develop capacity for resilient practices that protect streams and infrastructure from flooding.
