The mood board I have created reflects a lot of things towards the inspiration of my production. I’ve
collected images that relate to art styles, documentaries and cultural references to my subject of Hip-Hop
and Rap music. These images have helped me create an overall feel for the piece I am trying to create. I plan
to go for a raw and gritty art style as this reflects overall culture of old school hip-hop. By experimenting
with certain black and white cuts and low angles, I believe I can achieve this. This is also a good reflection of
the music that my piece is focusing on and will aid in reflecting the music and the personality that comes
with it. This is why I included elements of street graffiti as this is related to the culture and roots of hip-hop
and rap.
I have also collected some documentaries which could potentially be similar to this project as well as
including films that I personally enjoy. I feel that this was also important because I can add my own personal
aspects to the product. This is why I added Vice and Noisey products as these are content that I watch in my
spare time.
Images of performances and gigs were also included as I would like to include a segment of live performance
from the artist as I believe this will make the

These are some fonts I have collected that I think can fit
with the art style I would like to create. I have chosen
some fonts that reflect on Old School style as this
reflects the culture of hip hop. The stereotypical choice
would have been to use Grafitti as the font but I felt that
this would look too quite unprofessional and cliché.
Although I would like to appeal to the my target
audience, I feel that this is too stereotypical and would
look tacky for the product. I opted to choose some more
unique fonts that would set my product aside from the
rest whilst to personalise an art style. The top two fonts
reflect the old school style by incorporating LCD screens
that were common on technology on the rise of the
culture. I also like these fonts as I feel they will be easier
to animate when creating my intro. The rest of the fonts
were chosen as I feel they are quite raw and unique
with room to put my own touches to their animation
and fit them to my style.
