Things (IoT), including descriptions of various IoT domains, definitions of IoT
domain abstractions, and identification of commonalities between different
IoT domains.
IEEE IoT Enables Discussion &
Engagement: IoT Use Cases
17http://iot.ieee.org/iot-scenarios.html
To really understand the Internet of Things (IoT) requires application, implementation, and
execution in the real world. IEEE IoT recently launched a program to provide the IoT
community an interactive platform on which to engage with use cases, service
descriptions, business models, and reference implementations that will be key to
developing a vibrant IoT industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to contribute to
the IoT cause, as well as get excellent exposure for your projects and ideas.
IEEE IoT Startup Resources

IEEEmadC (Mobile Applications Development Contest)
IEEEmadC (Mobile Applications Development Contest) is a new international contest
organized by IEEE for all student members across the globe.
IEEE Travel Grants
IEEE Region 8 - VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTION FUND
Travel support for participation in conferences that are located in Region 8 and
organised or sponsored by IEEE R8 organisational units.
Region 8 IEEE is quite diverse in nature covering Europe, Africa and the Middle East. It is
the fast growing IEEE Region. The average income in various R8 countries differs
significantly. That is why a IEEE R8 Voluntary Contribution Fund (IEEE R8 VCF) was
created. This fund is fed by voluntary contributions donated by Region 8 members. The
money is then used to support members and especially students and graduate student
members with low income in their professional and technical activities.
Member of IEEE R8 at least in a second year.
Travel to a conference sponsored or co-sponsored by IEEE
Conference within the geographical area of Region 8
The maximum amount provided can not exceed US$1000.
IEEE Grants for Projects
Engineering Projects in Community Service (EPICS) in IEEE
EPICS in IEEE awards grants to university student groups to work on socially innovative
projects that may address local community-service needs such as access and abilities,
education and outreach, environment, and human services. Projects must be submitted by
an IEEE member and involve a non-profit organization partner. Collaboration with a local
high school is also encouraged. Typical awards use IEEE funding for project related supplies
(as opposed to personnel costs) with award amounts in the US$5,000 to US$10,000 range.
There is no deadline for applications. Applications are accepted throughout the year on a
rolling basis. Apply today and help impact your community.
IEEE Grants for Projects
