IMAGINARY SITUATIONS(conditionals) WEBQUEST
Por: Sylvia Rivera
INTRODUCTION
(INTRODUCCIÓN)
Conditionals can be real and unreal. We are going to focus our
work on the third conditional which is used to talk about
imaginary situations in the present or future.
It’s structure is the following:
IF + past simple, would + V-inf.
If I were you, I would try to learn Eglish.
Conditional sentences are very common in daily a
conversation that’s why it’s really important to learn this kind
of structures.
TASKS
(TAREAS)
The class will be divided into three groups.
The 1st
group will research the second conditional structure
and they will present it to the rest of the class.
The 2nd
will research some games, to ensure that the students
understood this new conditional.
The 3rd
will present a conversation trying to use as many
conditional sentences as they can.
These presentations will be done in three days.
PROCEDURE
(PROCESO)
Students will be guided before their presentations by the
teacher.
1. Students will investigate the structure of the second
conditional on their books (Face2Face).
2. They will also use the Grammar in Use by Murphy to
understand a bit more.
3. Students will ensure their understanding by using a
website. They will have to interact with ad answer the
question on the video.
To help students these websites will be provided:

The teacher is the only a guide.
EVALUATION
(EVALUACIÓN)
Students will be evaluated through their presentations.
Students should be creative so that they make their friends
understand the new structure.
Skills; such as, listening, reading, speaking and writing will be
evaluated at the end of their presentation with a quiz.
Communication is the aim of this project, so their speaking
skills will have a greater focus.
CONCLUSION
(CONCLUSIÓN)
These presentations will help students to interact among them
using the language and using the second conditional in real
situations.
Cooperation is another aspect that students will develop with
the development of these tasks.
Intonation and pronunciation will be acquired in an
appropriate way.
