PDHPE stands for Personal Development, Health and Physical Education and is one of the six key learning areas in the NSW primary school curriculum. It is taught to develop students' knowledge, understanding, skills, values, and attitudes needed to lead healthy, active, and fulfilling lives. PDHPE covers subject matter like growth and development, games and sport, gymnastics, dance, active lifestyle, and personal health choices through skills like moving, problem-solving, communicating, interacting, and decision-making. The benefits of PDHPE include physical, social, cognitive, and emotional growth as well as developing relationships and making informed health choices.
