INTRODUCTION
 Indian automobile industry is one of the most vibrant
industries.
 The industry contributed 7% of the country’s GDP. It
comprises passenger cars Two wheelers, Three
wheelers and commercial vehicles.
 It is the 7th largest Industry in the world after China,
Europe, USA, Japan, Germany and South Korea. with
annual production of 4 million vehicles.
 The first car on Indian road was in
1897.The owner was Mr foster.
 The first Indian who owns the car was
Jamshedji Tata in 1901.
 Hindustan Company established in 1942.
