  Ariana Grande –Dangerous Women DigiPak • I like this Digipak because of how simplistic it is. The album artwork is just a black and white image, which continues through the rest of the album. I like how the ears of the image stick out of the frame, giving the artwork some depth. Inside there is another black and white image of the artist. Both images use a bold black accessory which immediately catches your eye (the bunny ears and the black gloves) . The CD artwork is also black making it stand out from the white background. The simple bold font (similar to Times New Roman) is used to represent the theme of “ A Dangerous Women”, showing her power. This font is used on the CD as well, but the colours are reversed as the font is in white.

  Ariana Grande Website •The Website uses the same style as the album and uses the black and white colour scheme throughout. It uses the “Dangerous Women” font for “Ariana Grande” at the top of the page and for other important information.
• 4.
  Ariana Grande –Into You Music Video • In the music video “Into You” there are many locations being used. In the beginning she is in the Desert on a Motor Bike with someone, presumably a boyfriend/partner. Then She is at a Motel with her partner. The third location is in the Motel Room. The final location is her at a nightclub. • There are different costumes for each setting. When she is on the motor bike she is wearing a leather jacket with jeans. When she is by herself in the desert, shes wearing short shorts with just a bra and a jacket. When shes at the Motel she is wearing the same costume as she was wearing on the motorbike and when she is in the nightclub she is wearing a dress. • There are many cutaway shots from the narrative used such as when “just want to fall in deep” there is a closeup up shot of them face to face, about to kiss each other, this relates to the lyrics as she wants to be with him. This has a pink filter on it to know its not part of the main narrative. This is also used when the singer is singing in the Desert by herself, the lighting is different and the pink filter is present. • There is a variety of camera work used. Such as closeups on both of the characters faces. Wide Shots of the main character. Theres also establishing shots of each new location within the music video. Theres also hand camera shots where the shot is more shaky to make the relationship seem more real, and reflects the emotions between the two people.

  Ariana Grande -How are they Linked? • The three products are linked through the theme and style used within these products. The font is the same throughout all these products. The album and the website share a similar colour scheme of mostly black and white.

  Shawn Mendes –Illuminate Digipak Front Cover Inside Album CD Back Cover This digipak uses the colours green and blue as it main colours. The front cover is just an image of the artist with a lot of space around him, this hints what the music is about as it could suggest loneliness. The font used is very simple and subtle, not bold. In the inside of the album there is another image of him on the same chair but this time the colour scheme is much more darker and he looks more vulnerable. For the CD the colours used for the front cover are the same. On the back cover messy handwriting is used for the track list, making it seem more personal. I like this album cover as its very simple but effective as it hints what the album and songs could be about. Also I like the messy font on the back cover, as it makes the album seem more raw.

  Shawn Mendes -Website • The website uses a similar colour scheme throughout with using greens, blues and black. The font used throughout is the same used on the front cover.

  Shawn Mendes –Treat You Better Music Video • The music video only uses 1 costume for each character despite having many locations. • There are 2 main locations. One is where Shawn is staying and another is where the women is staying. • Throughout the video there are two stories happening at once. There are lots of cross cutting between the two characters. There lots of matches between the lyrics and the visuals. “Treat you better than he can” is often seen when the man is hitting the women. • There is a variety of camera angles used. There are lots of close ups of Shawn and the women showing how they are both in pain. Theres also a lot of tracking shots and shot reverse shots used in there to show the narrative between the two characters.

  Shawn Mendes –How are they Linked ? • The video is linked to the website and digipak through the use of colours. In the music video there is constantly dark colours that are used on the ablum cover and on the website. Also the costumes used are similar to the ones he wore on his album cover. • The digipak Is linked to the website through the use of colours and graphics also.

  Dua Lipa –Dua Lipa Digipak • I like this digipak because of the colours used. They are very bright, making the album stand out. The use of the blue/purple gradient quickly tells you what genre the album is, as the colours used are representative of the pop genre. I like the font as its very simple, making it easy to read from the background. • I like the pink CD as its different from others and the design on it is unusual.

  Dua Lipa –Website/Social Media • The website is very simple and complicated. I like the graphics as they are easy to read. The font is carried over from the font cover. The title font is much simpler. Her twitter page also uses the same graphics as the album.

  Dua Lipa –“Be The One” Music Video • This music video has a total of 5 locations and a different costume for each location. There are 2 outdoor locations and the rest or inside or in a studio. • A variety of Camera angles are used within the music videos. Establishing shots used in the beginning, to establish who the person in the video is. Then there are lots of different angled close ups. For example there is a high angle closeup on Duas face, to show her emotions. There's also tracking shots used following her around the streets. • The music video doesn’t have a set narrative, its more focused on the artist in this one room, showing that the voice is the main focus of the music. But theres also shots of her in the streets and in the fields, showing how she can “be the one”, which is a visual and lyric match.

  How are theylinked? • They are linked through the graphics that are used across the 3 medias. Mainly by the font that they use on her album cover, then throughout her social media pages and other music videos that she has done.
