San Francisco. About time as well. I don t think I was ever able to gain sea legs. Now, it is time
for me just like our fellow countrymen abroad to serve Japan in expanding her influence. While
aboard the ship, I was able to to study the guides. There was a lot of useful information in all of

general population. Whether they are driving or not, teens are less likely to wear a seat belt than
adults. According to the National Highway and Transportation Safety Administration (2009),

Strange Fruit came from him seeing a photograph of someone being graphically lynched. The image
reminisced through his head, which eventually lead him to writing his poem.
Billie Holiday was known for her beautiful voice and lyrics to her songs.
After listening to the song Strange Fruit by Billie Holiday, produced by Abel
Meeropol, it gave me a depressed type of feeling. Her voice it gave the lyrics such a dramatic

most important things about this song to me, were that they disguised the true meaning behind the
words. It was not directly said they were talking about lynching, but when someone listened closely,
they would have been able to tell, especially at that time. Also, the fact that Billie Holiday sang the

Her voice, and way of making music sound, gives off the exact mood/tone that is felt by the idea

people know they are up to no good, but they have so much power and authority, that just like
