- 5. Depression What is Depression? •A Group of conditions associated with the elevation or lowering of a persons mood, such as depression or bipolar disorder • Long periods of demotivation, social withdrawal and asocial behaviour • Feeling a sense of a low self worth for a lengthy period of time

- 11. • Most peopleconfuse with sadness with depression • So it is Strong biological component to mental health disorder • People with depression feel worthless and negligible • Nobody ‘chooses’ to be depressed for the sake of self pity • We trivialize depression by using the term loosely to mean sadness • Suicides are not a cry for help or attention
