A web browser is software that displays web pages and allows users to interact with content like text, images, videos, and games located on websites. Examples include Internet Explorer, Safari, and Lynx. Websites are secure if a lock icon appears in the address bar and the URL starts with "https." Domain names ending in .com are commercial, .edu are for education, and .gov are for government. Information can be verified by checking the creator, date, copyright, and consistency of titles, content, and images, as well as for spelling and grammar errors. FTP transfers files between computers while HTTP transfers requests and pages between servers and browsers. Personal information like phone numbers or passwords should not be shared online with unknown people
