This document summarizes a study on using pulp black liquor (PBL), a byproduct of the paper industry, as an admixture in concrete. The study tested concrete mixtures with varying concentrations of PBL, from 0% to 2%, to determine the effect on workability, compressive strength, and tensile strength. It found that adding 1% PBL increased the compressive strength to 33.33 MPa, higher than conventional concrete or concrete with metakaolin. The maximum tensile strength of 5.66 MPa was achieved with 1% PBL, outperforming both conventional concrete and metakaolin-modified concrete. In conclusion, using PBL as a concrete admixture improved strength properties while also providing
